Tami
Krause - Mrs. Minnesota-America 2003
The
reigning Mrs. Minnesota-America is Tami Krause of Plymouth, MN.
Tami Krause
is a 1992 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School where she was
captain of the 1992 state champion Kennedy Kolleens. Tami went
on to coach Kennedy's Junior Varsity dance team for one season
and the Varsity dance team for six years, leading them to multiple
state championship titles.
Tami attended
Normandale Community College in Bloomington, earning her Associate
of Arts degree in 1994. Tami then began studying dance at the
University of Minnesota, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in
1997. Upon graduation, Tami was selected as a 1997 Minnesota Vikings
Cheerleader. She took over as the Head Coach and Coordinator one
year later, and is beginning her sixth season as the Vikings Cheerleaders'
Head Coach and Coordinator.
Now married
to Aaron Krause for four years, a fellow stunt team cheerleader
for the Vikings in 1997, Tami and Aaron reside in Plymouth with
their son, Kole, who is two years old. Tami continues to be involved
with the high school dance community by serving as a Minnesota
State High School League judge and was honored to be inducted
into the Minnesota State Dance Team Coaches Hall of Fame by her
peers. Tami also works for a company called Just For Kix, based
out of Brainerd, Minnesota, directing summer dance camps and assisting
with marketing.
On Friday
and Saturday, June 20 and 21, 2003 Tami competed, as Mrs. Bloomington,
for the title of Mrs. Minnesota America 2003. The final pageant
was held at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota on Saturday,
June 21. Faith and Carl Schway, are the state pageant directors.
The pageant is sponsored by Premiere Modeling and the Schway Law
Firm. Areas of competition included evening gown, interview, physical
fitness, best state costume, best evening gown, most photogenic,
Mrs. Congeniality, and a community service award. Tami was awarded
Best Evening Gown and the Physical Fitness Award for best in swimsuit
before being crowned Mrs. Minnesota America 2003!
Tami represented
Minnesota in the Mrs. America Pageant in Honolulu, Hawaii September
4-19, 2003.
Setting goals
and working hard, striving for a healthy lifestyle, serving in
the community, and having a strong marriage and family life are
Tami's top priorities. Tami will campaign on behalf of Pageantry
Against Cancer benefiting the American Cancer Society during her
reign as Mrs. Minnesota-America 2003.
