The
reigning Mrs. Georgia-America is Kara Colquitt of Atlanta, GA.
Kara is 28
years old and resides in Snellville, GA, a suburb of Atlanta,
with her husband Moye and three children, Chase 9, Chandler 5
and Aston 2. Kara is a Professional Model who has graced the covers
of magazines, appeared in television commercials, music videos,
national print advertisements and billboards. Kara is also a stay
at home Mom and assists her husband with their in home photography
and advertising company Ad Taste Inc. Kara is actively involved
within her community and is an advocate for osteoporosis and epilepsy.
She is also an active member in The Lawrenceville Church of God
where she has attended for 3 years. Kara enjoys being the Team
Mom for her oldest son Chase's little league baseball team and
attending her daughter's gymnastic classes. Kara is a physical
fitness enthusiast who feels that regular exercise is a great
way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Kara also enjoys collecting
"Gone With The Wind" memorabilia and antiques. She loves
to cook, spend time with family, photography and art.
Kara's favorite
quote is: "Your circumstances are temporary, but your character
will last forever!" Rick Warren. I want to be an inspiration
to the married women of the state of Georgia and encourage them
to pursue their goals and dreams whatever they may be. I feel
it's so important to believe in yourself and have a positive outlook
on who you are as an individual. I believe we should lead our
married women by example showing them they can attain their goals
no matter how large. Focus and dare to dream!
Kara competed
as Mrs. Atlanta on June 28th and 29th at the Roswell Cultural
Arts Theater in Roswell, GA. Kara won the Most Photogenic and
Best evening Gown awards before capturing the Mrs. Georgia crown.
Kara represented
Georgia in the Mrs. America Pageant in Honolulu, HI at the Hilton
Hawaiian Village September 4-19 2003.

The 2004 Mrs.
Georgia-America preliminary pageant will be held in June 2004
and the finals pageant will be held in June, 2004 at the Roswell
Cultural Arts Center, Roswell, Georgia.
Prizes will
include air and hotel accommodations to the Mrs. America Pageant,
a full scholorship to Premiere Modeling School in Atlanta, and
personal fitness consultations.
