Shauna Rowland of Norcross, Georgia was crowned Mrs. Georgia America on June 22, 2008 at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center in Roswell, Georgia. She competed against other contestants from around the state in the personal interview, swimsuit and evening gown categories. Shauna also won the swimsuit competition.
Happily married for 2 years, Shauna and her husband Nathan enjoy spending time in the park, enjoying the beach, and mentoring youth. She holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Management from Emory University, and she is an accomplished Business Consultant with BearingPoint, Inc., one of the world's largest providers of management and technology consulting services to Global 2000 companies and government organizations. A club officer and avid participant in the BearingPoint Atlanta Toastmasters Club for the past 2 years, she enjoys public speaking and she speaks fluent Spanish. Shauna also enjoys working out, reading, traveling, and serving as a positive role model and mentor.
Shauna's service has included mentoring high school students in life issues and the college application process. She has assisted with medical outreach services to the Peachtree and Pine Homeless Shelter in downtown Atlanta. She has also worked with the Queen for a Day Foundation, offering quality of life services to pediatric cancer patients. Consistent with her volunteer work as a Spanish interpreter at Grady Hospital, the largest trauma center in the Southeast, Shauna has also travelled to Ambáná, Bolivia, where she assisted local public health workers with constructing the foundation for a medical facility, and providing vitamin supplements to children in the community.
Shauna has been a member of Total Grace Christian Center in Decatur, Georgia for the past 7 years, where she has served on the dance, international awareness/outreach, youth and hospitality ministries. She is looking forward to an exciting year as she represents the great state of Georgia.

The 2009 Mrs.
Georgia-America preliminary pageant will be held on Saturday,
June 28th and the finals pageant will be held at 6 pm on Sunday, June 29th, 2009 at the
Roswell Cultural Arts Center, Roswell, Georgia.

to crown her successor.
Prizes will
include air and hotel accommodations to the Mrs. America Pageant,
a full scholorship to Premiere Modeling School in Atlanta, and
personal fitness consultations.
